Reference and Sample Applications Overview

BlackDog provides three reference applications you can modify as needed; the first two reference applications allow you to customize the user experience. They are:

• The Login application, which presents the initial screen to the user for login.
• The Fingerprint Trainer application, which enables the user to train the BlackDog device to recognize a fingerprint.
• The Realm-networking (user_nat) application, which provides networking functionality for BlackDog applications.

In addition, BlackDog provides two sample applications to demonstrate the types of applications that may be created for the BlackDog device:

• The Launcher application, which allows you to place your application into a program Launcher menu after you install the application on the BlackDog device.
• The Xdialog application, which is a general utility placed on the BlackDog device that provides an X user interface (X11 dialog window) for interacting with a user.
