Intended Audience

This guide is for developers and independent software vendors (ISVs) who want to create applications for the BlackDog device.

This document assumes developers have a good understanding of:

• GNU Compiler Collection (GCC) suite (and optionally C++)
• Linux (Debian distribution in particular)

It would be helpful if developers are familiar with:

• Perl scripting language
• Ash and Bash shell languages
